What can you try on?
Why does the try-on change only the clothes?
Most try-on tools redraw the whole picture and hand you back a slightly different person. That defeats the point. You want to know how the jacket looks on you, not on someone who resembles you.
Visio AI edits the garment and leaves the rest alone: your face, your hair, your skin tone, the way you are standing, the background and the lighting. That is why the slider is useful. When only the clothing moves, the comparison is honest.
Does it work on any body and any photo?
The models on this page come from eight regions and are shown in the same twelve garments so you can see the same dress, shirt or trousers on very different people. Your own photo works the same way. The AI fits the garment to the body in the picture rather than stretching a stock image over it.
Good light and a plain background help. A cluttered scene or heavy shadow makes the edges of a garment harder to read, the same way it would for a human eye.
Is it accurate enough to shop from?
For how a colour, a cut or a length looks on you, yes. For whether a size 10 will close at the waist, no: the tool sees a photo, not a tape measure. Treat it as the mirror in the changing room, not the fitting label.
Where it earns its place is the decision before the decision. Wrap dress or shift? The camel coat or the black one? Those are questions a photo answers well, and it answers them before anything is ordered or returned.
Does it work outside Google Shopping?
Yes, and that is the practical difference from the try-on built into search results. Google's version only works on products inside its shopping index, only in a handful of countries, and only when you are signed in. Visio AI works on any garment photo, from any shop or any wardrobe, in any country.
That matters more than it sounds. Most of the clothes people actually want to try are not in a shopping feed: the dress a friend is selling, the jacket on a small brand's Instagram, the trousers in a photo you took in a changing room last week. If you can save the picture, you can try it on.
It also means the photo stays yours. The try-on runs on the image you upload and the garment you choose; nothing is matched against a retailer catalogue and nothing is sent to a shop.

Frequently asked questions
Is the virtual try-on free?
Everyone gets a free trial. Install Visio AI on iOS or Android, start the trial, and try on tops, bottoms and dresses on your own photo during it at no charge. After the trial, virtual try-on is part of the Visio AI subscription, which also covers hairstyles, hair colour and the photo studio.
Do I need a full-body photo?
For dresses and trousers a full-body or three-quarter photo gives the best result, because the garment needs a body to sit on. For tops, a waist-up photo is enough. Front-facing and evenly lit is what matters most.
Can I try on clothes from a shop's website?
Yes. Save the product photo and import it as the garment. The AI reads the cut, colour and fabric from the picture and puts that garment on you. A photo of the item on its own, or on a mannequin, works best.
Will it change my face or my body?
No. The edit is limited to the clothing. Your face, hair, skin, pose and the background stay as they are in the original photo, which is what makes the before and after comparison meaningful.
Does it tell me my size?
No. Virtual try-on shows how a garment looks on your photo; it cannot measure you. Use it to choose between styles and colours, then check the retailer's size guide as you normally would.
Which garments can I try on?

How is this different from Google's try-on?
Google's try-on only works on products in its shopping index, in a few countries, when you are signed in. Visio AI works on any garment photo from any source, in any country. It also keeps the edit to the clothing, so your face and pose are never redrawn.
Is my photo kept private?
The try-on runs on the photo you upload and the garment you choose. Your photo is not matched against any retailer catalogue, is not sent to a shop, and is not used to train anything. You can delete it from the app at any time.
How long does a try-on take?
A few seconds per garment on a normal phone connection. The first one takes a moment longer while the app reads your photo; after that, switching between garments is close to instant, which is what makes comparing several options practical.
Can I try on clothes from a photo I took in a shop?
Yes. A photo of a garment on a hanger, on a mannequin or laid flat all work as the reference. Try to fill the frame with the garment and avoid strong shadows across it, the same way you would for a listing photo.
