Which dress questions does a photo answer that a size chart cannot?
Length against your legs, neckline against your neck, and whether a print looks like a print or like noise at your scale. A floral midi that is charming on a tall model can swamp a shorter frame, and a satin slip that looks minimal on a hanger has a very particular relationship with shoulders. Those are visible in a second on your own photo.
Why does the try-on replace both the top and the bottoms?
Because a dress is one garment. If the tool left your jeans under a slip dress, you would be looking at a costume, not a dress. The whole outfit changes to the dress; everything that is not clothing stays. Drag the slider from the shoulders down to the hem and you will see exactly where the dress starts and where you do.

Does it work for long and short dresses?
Yes. The dress takes the length of the garment photo, from a knee-length sheath to a floor-length gown. A full-body photo of you is needed so the hem has somewhere to fall.
Can I try on a wedding guest or evening dress?
Yes. Any dress photo works as the garment, including formal and occasion dresses. A photo of the dress on its own or on a mannequin gives the cleanest result.
Will my shoes and jewellery stay?
Yes. The edit is limited to the clothing. Shoes, jewellery, your hair and the background are kept as they are in your photo.
Does it show how the fabric moves?
It shows how the fabric sits: the drape of satin, the body of velvet, the flatness of cotton. Movement needs video, which a still photo cannot give you.
